When flat out busy running a small business, who has the time for digital marketing?
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics more than 60 percent of Australian Small Businesses fail within the first 3 years. SIXTY PERCENT!
There’s many reasons for these failures but chief among them is the failure to attract customers, for at the end of the day that’s what it’s all about – selling enough product or service to keep the lights on. Making a little (or a lot!) money on the side is not bad, either.
Easier said than done!
To get to that sweet point of profitability takes an incredible amount of work and to salt that already gaping wound is the increasing need to handle your business’s own marketing requirements. But who has the time? Gone are the good old days, where an ad in the Yellow Pages or the local rag would suffice. It’s a brand new ballgame but unlike football, the field is constantly changing but for small business owners who ignore this vital part of their business, do so at their own peril.
To be competitive a business owner needs to have at the very least, a basic understanding of digital marketing including everything from social media strategy, email and content marketing, Google AdWords, SEO…the list goes on…and on. If you’re like many others and don’t have the time to take care of these needs yourself, engaging an expert is difficult when you have no idea what you’re asking them to do.
But that changes today.
Stick around and I’ll help you understand these concepts to determine whether you can take on the job yourself, or engage someone like me to help you out.
Let’s get cracking!
